Former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield, is planning on signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a one-year deal worth $8.5 million, per Tom Pelissero.

Mayfield spent last season with the Carolina Panthers before being cut and picked up by the Los Angeles Rams to fill in for an injured Matt Stafford.

Mayfield will compete against Kyle Trask for the starting job, which Tampa Bay drafted in the second round in the 2021 NFL Draft.
