The Boston Celtics have signed Jaylen Brown to a five-year contract worth up to $304 million, per Marc J. Spears. This deal becomes the richest contract in NBA history.
The deal eclipses the previous record set at five-year, $270 million, by Nikola Jokic in the 2022 offseason.
The deal is fully guaranteed and includes a trade kicker, per Shams Charania. Brown cannot be traded until the summer of 2024.
Brown grabbed a career-high 26.6. points and 6.9 rebounds per game last season. He earned a spot on the 2023 All-NBA second team.
